"Grace and Peace"

Today I want to challenge your thinking.  As we begin our journey into this New Year, many of us have made a New Year's Resolution.  Some have decided to exercise more, some to eat better, even more have decided to lose weight.  These are all great things to push for this year.  But where's God in your plans!  What have you decided to do for God this year?  What do you think God wants you to do?  Spiritual thinking is positive thinking?  Negative thinking is harmful to our spiritual walk.  Although we know that negative thoughts will arrive, how we deal with them is what's most important.

The Apostle Paul teaches us not to conform to this world but to be transformed by the renewing of our minds (Roman 12:2).  The world tells us that the outer appearance is what's most important.  So we fix the outside appearance by exercising, changing our diets, and losing weight to be the perfect size.  We say we're doing it for our physical health, but what about our Spiritual health?  Our spirit is being starved to death and ignored.  Did you forget that God doesn't look at our outer appearance but He looks at our hearts (I Samuel 16:7)?  What does it profit to gain the world only to lose your soul?

This year transform your thinking from the natural to spiritual.  Stop looking at your problems in the natural and transform your thinking to SPIRITUAL!  Don't give all your attention to your physical body, feed your spiritual body with the word of God!  Renew your mind with "God Thinking."  I remember the story of the little train that said, "I Think I Can....I Think I Can."  The train wanted to get to the other side of the mountain.  But the challenge was going up the mountain.  But he didn't quit!

Think of yourself as a Spiritual Train.  Hold on, don't your dare give up!  All things are possible with Christ!  Transform your thinking and become Joyful in Hope, Patient in Tribulation, and Instant in Prayer (Romans 12:12).  And you will conquer the mountains (worldly challenges). Remember you can do all things through Christ Jesus!!
